Dr. Saba offers a variety of treatment options for both children and adults.

Incognito / iBraces Lingual / Hidden Braces

iBracesMom

iBraces are the newest advancement in lingual braces or hidden braces placed behind the teeth.  Newer technology has made them more affordable and far more comfortable than the previous generation of lingual braces. iBraces are custom made specifically for each patient.  Made from gold and customized to fit a low profile on the teeth to provide a smooth edge for comfort.

Clear Braces

Ceramic braces and/or clear are made of a nearly translucent (clear) material, and are popular with young adults and adult patients, because of their cosmetic appeal. Ceramic braces are less noticeable brackets for patients concerned about their appearance and the stigma of youth most often associated with traditional silver braces.

Invisalign

Invisalign consists of a series of removable aligners that are virtually invisible, a more subtle and discreet way to straighten teeth. This allows you to straighten your teeth without anyone knowing. You can also still eat and drink whatever you want! Invisalign also allows you to brush and floss normally to maintain healthy gums and teeth; and there are no wires, metal or brackets to cause mouth abrasions and discomfort.

Speed Braces

Self-ligating brackets have many benefits. The most appreciated benefit is the reduction in treatment time. On average the treatment is reduced about 30%. Another added bonus of this system is that they require less frequent office visits. They are also said to be easier to clean and somewhat more comfortable, as there is less resistance between the brackets and the arch wire.

Jaw Surgery

If you or your child are in need of jaw surgery, it is important to consult with Dr. Saba first, before visiting the oral surgeon’s office. Your initial consultation with an orthodontist will make the transition into surgery a bit easier. Because cleft palates and other craniofacial irregularities affect the form and growth of the upper jaw, the teeth become a special consideration. Development and alignment of the teeth and their relationship to the jaw needs to be addressed during infancy and throughout the child’s growing years.  As an adult, surgery is more often sought to correct malocclusions that were not addressed earlier in life and can only be corrected by surgery. Dr Saba works with several top oral surgeons in the area and can help make the transition from pre-operative to post-operative surgery a less worrisome experience.

TMJ Treatment

If you need TMJ Treatment in the Washington D.C. area, Dr. Saba has successfully treated many TMJ patients. For more serious cases of TMJ, she will help you find an alternate treatment that suits your needs. Often, she will suggest using a mouth guard to relieve nightly teeth grinding. In some cases, she will instruct you to use orthodontic appliances to alleviate discomfort or redirect positioning of the Temporomandibular  joint.  For the most severe cases of TMJ, she may recommend more invasive procedures.
